Investment and human rights due diligence

More than 68% of institutional investors are compromised with social responsible investment policies. This implies an internal management challenge to ensure that these policies are effectively implemented. This is even a greater challenge if it is considered from a human rights perspective as part of investors’ task is to access relevant information to decide if their investments adjust to their social responsible investment policies. Responsible investment analysts increasingly evaluate the corporate management capacity around human rights, but their assessment is still limited to formal capacities. Therefore, part of the challenge is to deepen in these evaluations.

This conversation aims to explore other ways of asking and accessing relevant information about activity sectors’ and companies’ impacts.
